2006 Championship – Summary Report

A record 53 dogs qualified with with 50 taking to the field.
After 3 exciting days, the last stage was a duck drive at the lakeside. Six dogs had qualified, all coping extremely well, entering the water boldly they all successfully completed their retrieves. All six contenders were awarded a place as above.

With a superb 10 A grades for his 10 retrieves, the overall winner of the 2006 IGL Retriever Championship was five-year-old F.T.Ch. Marcus May Be of Wadesmill, the first golden retriever to win since 1982. Owned by Max Wright from Hertfordshire and handled by his son Andrew.
